Grangeville High School

Music

The Grangeville High School Music Department offers many different opportunities for students to experience music. The program offers band, concert choir, auditioned choir (Varsity Blue), and one music appreciation course: Guitar. The three performing classes get to do many different activities throughout the school year. The ensembles are also active in the community, including playing pep band and singing the Star-Spangled Banner at some athletic games. All ensembles provide plenty of fundraising activities such as Valentine Grams during the Valentine holiday and Bulldog Cards at the beginning of the school year. In addition to school activities and concerts, the ensembles preform and compete in competitions such as Festival and Music in the Parks as well as providing individual opportunities such as Solo and Ensemble. Music is all around us, and learning about it helps us appreciate and understand it even more.
